Inha University was established upon the ideals of leadership, expertise, and service to the country. A mainstay in the port city of Incheon, South Korea, Inha has long produced talented professionals for the science and technology sectors, who have exceeded the expectations of the nation and its people. The first classes were held on March, 1954, with six majors. In particular, Inha has become one of the strongest engineering-oriented universities in Korea, with almost 8,000 undergraduate and graduate students in 21 engineering departments.
The Inha VIP Program launched in Spring of 2014 in the Department of Information & Communication Engineering. VIP courses are approved as in-major and free electives in many departments, including the following: Mechanical Engineering, Naval architecture & Ocean Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science and Engineering, Applied Organic Materials Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geoinformatic Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Information and Communication Engineering, and Visual Communication Design.
