2026 VIP Consortium Annual Meeting

General Information

Join us in Atlanta, Georgia, from May 27–29, 2026, for a highly participatory event focused on peer-to-peer exchange. The VIP Consortium Annual Meeting is designed for current, emerging, and prospective VIP Program Directors, Coordinators, and institutional stakeholders.

The event begins on the afternoon of Wednesday, May 27, with a specialized workshop for early-stage and prospective sites. The Main Program follows on Thursday and Friday, featuring sessions built on collaborative problem-solving and institutional sharing.

Logistics & Accommodations

  • Hospitality: Most meals are provided throughout the meeting.
  • Lodging: Hotel costs are covered for up to two guests per institution for those who complete their booking by the designated deadline.

Student Participation: Please note that the 2026 meeting does not include a formal student track or poster session. Instead, the program features a curated panel where selected students will discuss their specific experiences and insights regarding VIP projects.

Program Focus

The 2026 program reflects our hallmark focus on active participation rather than traditional lectures. Attendees should prepare for interactive sessions, breakout activities, and collaborative thematic discussions.

A primary theme for this year is Accreditation, specifically how VIP programs align with standards (such as ABET and AACSB), serve as capstone experiences, and provide measurable data on student learning.

Other featured topics include:

  • Site & Team Spotlights: Detailed profiles of VIP programs and specific team structures.
  • Administration & Curriculum: Management strategies and methods for integrating VIP credits into degree requirements.
  • Funding & Instruction: Success stories in securing funding and professional development for VIP instructors.
  • Program Assessment: Evaluation methods and education research within the VIP model.

Consortium Collaboration: Initiatives and partnerships across the global VIP network.
