After traveling to the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Golden, Colorado, to present its design for the extension and renovation of the Urban Assembly New York Harbor School on Governors Island, The Cooper Union's Solar Decathlon team was awarded the 2023 US Department of Energy Solar Decathlon Design Challenge Competition Commercial Grand Prize.
