VIP Consortium Announces Appointment of Ryan Hurey to Board of Directors

Atlanta, GA. – May 23, 2022 – VIP Consortium Inc., a non-profit alliance of higher education institutions with Vertically Integrated Projects (VIP) programs, today announced Ryan Hurey will be joining the VIP Consortium board of directors.

Ryan Hurey has been with Microsoft Corporation for 22 years and is currently Principal Software Development Engineer with the Azure Cognitive Services Team. Ryan has a long history of working on innovative teams such as Exchange and CRM at Microsoft and looks forward to promoting the collaborative team concept taught through the VIP Projects in leading universities around the world.

Ryan is a 1999 graduate of Purdue University with a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering and was a member of one of the first Vertically Integrated Projects (VIP) launched at “early adopter” universities. He is excited to join the board to use his experience to help shape future generations of engineers.  Ryan knows first-hand how important learning from real-world experience is and how it can teach engineers soft skills that are challenging to develop in a traditional classroom setting but are essential to career growth and success.  He states, “One of the most influential experiences I had as a student in college was working on an integrated project team where I developed skills that I use today.”  The VIP Consortium welcomes Ryan to the Board of Directors and is proud to have its first VIP Project alumnus join the board.
