Floating Towards Knowledge: University Students Tackle Climate Change
How Strathclyde’s VIP Program Integrates STEM, Sustainability, and Indigenous Wisdom

The University of Strathclyde's Primary Education students participated in the "Float Your Boat" project, crafting miniature wooden boats to study Arctic climate change. Vertically Integrated Projects for Sustainable Development (VIP4SD) at the Strathclyde Institute of Education participated in this inititiave as part of a STEM module on inclusion and diversity. This hands-on approach connects local STEM learning with global challenges, and emphasizes the value of Indigenous knowledge in understanding environmental shifts.
