This presentation will focus on communications and marketing for VIP programs. Sandra Harrison at the University of New South Wales will discuss strategies for reaching out to various constituencies (e.g., students, faculty, university administrators, potential donors) and will share examples of materials that have been successful for UNSW. |

Roundtable with Ray Sokola, Executive Director of VIP Consortium, Inc.
Ray Sokola joined the VIP Consortium nonprofit organization as Executive Director in 2020. (Bio) One of his near-term priorities is to engage Consortium partners in strategic planning efforts. As a first step, we are hosting two informal “meet and greet” sessions with Ray in November. Ray is particularly interested in hearing from you regarding:

Multinational, multidisciplinary, co-curricular project integration
At the University of Pretoria, integrating the VIP programme and similar initiatives, like the AREND* project, into the formal curriculum is impossible. Yet, without strong curricular alignment, the longevity and productivity of the student teams falter. We present and discuss the phases of co-curricular alignment that we experimented with at the University of Pretoria. We also discuss the challenges and benefits of the experience.
