Team List

VIP Teams

  • This team is focused on the design and implementation of an automotive intrusion detection and prevention system (IDPS), a promising automotive cybersecurity solution that is likely to appear in upcoming models of passenger vehicles. Presently, very little is publicly available and this project aims to introduce significant innovation in this space, publish results, and educate the automotive...
  • VIP students will: 1. Practice safe lab practices, quality electronic notebook keeping, and gain basic knowledge on the immune response in rice, the world’s most important food staple. 2. Identify mutations in genes predicted to control the rice immune response. 3. Engage the community in learning about genetics through a market science program and/or two minute YouTube videos
  • With the ever increasing complexity of engineering systems, parametric uncertainty arising due to manufacturing process variations, variations in operating environment and from simplifying assumptions made during the design process have become crucial in determining the performance, reliability, and life-span of such systems. Modeling the propagation of this uncertainty from the system...
  • VIP
The Vertically Integrated Projects (VIP) FIU website intends to unite undergraduate education and faculty research in a team-based context. Undergraduate VIP students earn academic credits, while faculty and graduate students benefit from the design/discovery efforts of their teams. This Web site facilitate the process of creating and managing VIP projects at FIU.
  • In accordance with the goals of AggiE-Challenge, we aim to provide engineering undergraduates with opportunities to engage in multidisciplinary research focused on engineering challenges facing our society.
  • Develop a visual analytic system based on sensor data.
  • Create relevant and engaging visual narratives that clearly communicate the scope and value of current research in the College of Innovation and Design at Boise State University.

  • This VIP Project links with two on-going Research Programmes, one in Malawi Africa, the second in Gaza/Palestine/Israel in the Middle East. The Goal is to give students opportunity to work on research that underpins SDG6 on Water for these countries.
  • Precision Medicine requires an ever growing Biomedical BigData reference. This growth is particularly striking for pathologies with a genomic basis, like Cancer. Accordingly, NIH/NCI has spearheaded the establishment of interoperable multi-petabyte sized Genomic Data Commons as a data ecosystem that the scientific community, including the citizen scientist, can populate with analytical...
  • WOOF3D is advancing 3D printing through the design of new 3D printer technology and the design of parts that take advantage of the flexibility of additive manufacturing (3D printing). WOOF3D has designed and built desktop-size and large-scale 3D printers. WOOF3D is currently prototyping Big Blue, which is a large-scale 3D printer with a build space of 1.5 cubic meters.
  • The purpose of this project is to create computer tools that can facilitate discovery of patterns of human behaviors from worldwide network cameras.
  • This team presents a chance to join an exciting research group that has been selected by NASA to provide particle instruments for the next flagship mission to the icy Jovian moon Europa. It has recently been shown that Europa has more liquid water than Earth, and is the most likely location for life in the solar system after Earth. The team’s instrument will measure charged particles around...
