Current VIP teams consist of students from all 5 majors in the School of Engineering as well as students from the School of the Arts, and the Schools of Medicine and Nursing. The VIP@VCU program is the first program to work with the lead institution to incorporate the VIP software tools into their program. VIP@VCU is also one of the first universities in the VIP program to participate in the Consortium’s evaluation program. In addition, the VIP@VCU program is experimenting with the process of providing each one of its teams with a publicly-viewable external web site to facilitate advertizing the team and its activities to prospective new students, prospective student employers, and prospective external sponsors.
