The Program


VIP at Howard started in 2014 with Electrical and Computer Engineering teams. VIP at Howard has 6 teams from Electrical and Computer Engineering and Physics, and expects to add projects from other departments including Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. VIP at Howard opened its VIP projects to other regional institutions to form an inter-collegiate VIP project program in Washington-Baltimore area. Students from Morgan State University and from University of Maryland – Baltimore County participated in two VIP projects.

    Development of an underwater circuit connector
  • Using drone technology, the project goal is to combine robotics and the Wizarding world of Harry Potter and bring to life one of the most memorable aspects of the series - the golden snitch
  • This project aims to create and build and inexpensive prosthetic arm by 3-D printing which can be controlled by action signals from the brain.
